Key Qualifications:

              CanSkate Coaches needed - must have CanSkate in Training

Star Skate Coaches Welcome!

Competitive Coaches welcome!

  • Skate Canada professional with a minimum Regional Coach in-training
    status.
  • In Good Standing: To be a Registered Skate Canada Professional Coach in
    Good Standing, the following is required:
  1. Must hold a valid first aid certificate.
  2. Backcheck Screening
  3. NCCP certified coaches must maintain a renewed NCCP certification
    status as per the Coaching Association of Canada’s (CAC)
    Maintenance of Certification Policy.
  4. Skate Canada Code of Ethics
  5. Completed the Respect in Sport Activity Leader Training. A coach
    must be re-certified in this training every 3 years

The FHFSC Skating Club ( www.fhfsc.ca ) is a Skate Canada-sanctioned club located at the Larry Grossman Arena, Toronto, Ontario . For close to 50 years, we have been running programs suitable for everyone from beginner (children and adult) to the most skilled skater.

Administration Assistant

 

part-time, weekends Sept-May

 

FHFSC is looking for a seasonal, part-time Administration Assistant for our weekend Club Programs (Sept.1 - May 31) at Forest Hill Figure Skating Club located at Larry Grossman Arena Toronto Ont. & Phil White Arena Toronto Ont.

Reports To: Club Administrator, CanSkate Director, StarSkate Co-ordinator  

Expected start date: Sept 1, 2024

Rate: $22.00/ hour

Sat. 7:30am – 3:30pm Larry Grossman Arena (8 hours)

Sunday 4:00pm - 9:30pm Larry Grossman Arena (5.5 hours)

Sunday 9:30am-1:00pm Phil White Arena (3.5 hours)

Other days as needed if available for special events.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Set up CanSkate Table and name tags

To Check in skaters for the various classes and programs.

Ensure all skaters are registered before going on the ice.

Verify and confirm new registrations at each session. 

Prepare name tags for last minute weekend CanSkate registrations

Assist members with online self-registration.

Handle in-person inquiries 

Ensure all brochure boxes are full 

Ensure office is clean and orderly

Other club duties as delegated by Club Administrator, Canskate Director, Technical StarSkate Director

Assist with special event days & club events-other days may be required.

 

Forest Hill Figure Skating Club (FHFSC) is a non-profit organization that has a long history of developing and training, learn to skate, adults, figure and hockey skaters in the Toronto area. FHFSC is fully sanctioned by Skate Canada and has been serving our community since 1974. We provide top quality skating lessons to aspiring skaters of all ages and abilities at both the recreational and competitive levels. Our robust membership is growing and demands excellence in customer service and administration. An immediate opening for an assistant administrator will bring our levels of service up to our required standards. 

Who We're looking for:

Sports administration background preferred

Secondary School (Preferred)

UpLifter Knowledge

Excel

Word

Outlook 

Ability to clearly communicate in the English language both in print and speech 

Administrative or reception experience an asset
