WELCOME BACK!
Welcome to the 2016-17 Skating Season. We look forward to another year of high quality training for our dedicated athletes and wish all of them a successful skating season! Please check our website regularly for information and updates. The Calendar of Events will be updated for the season, but please note that additional events/revisions may be added.
New Programs at F.H.F.S.C
Pre-Star Skate
The Pre-Star Skate is a fast-track program designed to allow age-eligible skaters, ages 4 to 8, the opportunity to learn skating skills in a group format and at an accelerated pace. Skaters must have passed Stage 5 or be talent identified in order to be registered into this program. Skaters must skate a minimum of TWO DAYS per week.
This program is the starting point for competitive figure skating within the Forest Hill Figure Skating Club. Classes include on-ice Ice instruction where participants will learn how to jump, spin, stroke and perform.
Off Ice Training
Forest Hill Figure Skating Club is launching our first season of our Off- Ice Conditioning Program, for our Star Skate and our Academy skaters. Figure skating is a sport that requires endurance, stamina, strength, power, balance, coordination, flexibility and speed. These off ice classes will provide a fitness training for figure skaters to help achieve optimum performance on the ice and enhance a skaters’ potential.
This initiative will commence with classes located at Groove Dance Studio located at 491 Eglinton Ave West, Suite 400
